If you can't be in East Hampton on Election Day, that's no problem.
Voting by absentee ballot is simple.
You can pick up an Application for an Absentee Ballot:
Fill out the Absentee Ballot Application Form and mail it to the Suffolk County Board of Elections, so that it is received no later than the seventh day before the election and the ballot will be mailed to you.
- At the Suffolk County Board of Elections, 700 Yaphank Ave., Yaphank, NY 11980.
- Go to www.elections.ny.gov, and click on "Need an Absentee Ballot."
- Request an absentee Ballot by sending a letter to the Suffolk County Board of Elections. The letter must be received by the Board no earlier than thirty (30) days before the election and no later than seven (7) days before the election.
